Mr. Jamal Berry joined Educare Washington, DC, as an Infant and Toddler Master Teacher and became the Associate Director in 2014. Currently he is serving in the role of School Director. In this capacity he supervises the Leadership Team and the Lead Teachers. He has worked with a variety of age groups as an early childhood educator since beginning his professional career in 2006. As a persistent learner, role model and mentor to aspiring teachers, Mr. Berry is an adamant believer in Fredrick Douglas' quote, "It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men." Mr. Berry earned an Ed.S, Specialist of Education Degree in Leadership and Early Childhood Special Education and a Ma.H.D. &Ed. in education and human development and early childhood education from George Washington University and graduated from Bowie State University with a B.S. in Pedology (child and adolescent studies).
